Pendulum by Fuel

Fuel has released their seventh studio album, Pendulum. It is the group’s first album in five years since the 2021 release Anomaly as well as their first with vocalist Aaron Scott, who joined Fuel in 2022. Scott got the gig after he famously performed the group’s classic “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)” on the popular television show “The Voice”. The record is a showcase for Fuel in the mid 2020s as they embrace both their established identity and a new evolution towards further musical horizons.

Formed in Harrisburg, PA by guitarist and songwriter Carl Bell and vocalist-guitarist Brett Scallions, the group attained massive success following their 1998 EP Hazleton and their subsequent debut album Sunburn. Both of those releases featured the Top 10 modern rock track “Shimmer” and this opened the floodgates to several more successful releases fueled by the tunes “Sunburn”, “Bad Day” and “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)”, which topped the modern rock tracks chart for several months. The group sustained their success through the early 2000s with albums Something Like Human (2000) and Natural Selection (2003). However, Fuel would undergo multiple lineup changes, including Bell’s decade-long hiatus starting in 2010. Bell returned in 2020 following the departure of Scallions and original drummer Jody Abbott passed away in 2022, leaving Bell as the lone original member.
