“I’m Alive”

Written by Eric Bazilian
Produced by Eric Bazilian & Rob Hyman
Recorded at Elmstreet Studios in Philadelphia, 2007
Released on the album Time Stand Still in September 2007

After a decade and a half away from the recording studio, The Hooters finally recorded their sixth studio album, Time Stand Still, in 2007. “I’m Alive” is the lead-off track from this album.

This song, composed by Eric Bazilian, is a jubilant celebration of life and love. The upbeat, bouncy melody and reflective lyrics inspire feelings of hopefulness and optimism. The happiness of the present has been built on hard work and heartache of the past to where the protagonist can just enjoy the simple sunlight of the day.
